Goodier, born in Puerto Rico and moved to the United States with his family, decided to follow his faith in God when he was in college. After he spent time in Kazakhstan being a missionary, Goodier came back to the United States, went to study Master of Divinity at Duke and officially became a pastor at the Mount Hermon Baptist Church in 2010. Goodier believes that God is his guidance in his life. "I listen to the call of Jesus upon my life on how I direct my life each day," said Goodier. "I understand myself as part of … a body that is also called to live a righteous life here in this world. To care for our neighbors to love God and every part of who we are."
